And the Oscar goes to...

Just wanted to congratulate Sharmeen Obaid Chinoey for her achievement!! People like her really show the world how just AWESOME we Pakistanis are, am i right? Ofcourse i am!
And honestly i was bursting with pride when i saw her receive it! And then give that speech! Is it just me or was Sandra Bullock moved to tears?
Even the documentary was about the acid throwing accidents happening in our society and so not portraying the good side of Pakistan, but nonetheless made by a Pakistani.

The Humsafar tragedy

Today 4th of February 2012 all Pakistani women and some men if i am not mistaken, were desperately waiting for the 20th episode of the very famous drama by the title Humsafar. Yes they showed the previous episode of the show, people across Pakistan are outraged! How can they do this? HOW?
Why did they put us through this torture? why? People across the country are asking this question.
But according to the official Humsafar Fan page they had a technical fault that is why aired the previous episode, i say Bull everything. (sigh) Yes, i am heart broken.
Some funny tweets i came across during the outrage that went on because of episode 19 being repeated:

• Technical Problems ki zemedari Taliban ne kabool karli- Rehman Malik :P ROFL  ( Trans: Taliban accepts the responsibility of the technical problem - Rehman Malik)
• Wives daughters sisters mothers grandmas -general female population suffers severe withdrawal symptoms of missed "Humsafar" dose.
• Guys, if she says she's ditching Humsafar to talk to you; DON'T FALL FOR IT AND PROPOSE! It's a repeat episode
• People crying over how they are showing last weeks #Humsafar episode. "Sab Zardari ki galti he" #AveragePakiStatement. (yes blame the president!)
• TONIGHT ON HUMSAFAR: MAHIRAH PREFERS THE GUY IN THE TAPAL AD TO ASHAR.

And believe me i could go on and on.. You know what the worst part was? The official page posting all new episode of Humsafar do NOT miss it!  Oh and some funny pictures to go along as well of the 'tragedy'.

Yes i had nothing else to post about and i wanted to post something today and after today's heartbreak, i just thought that i got my topic, boo yaa! :( 
So the the 20th episode will air on the 11th of Feb! :( So waiting till then for my weekly dose of Humsafar!
Oh and Happy Eid ul Milad un Nabi! 

Saying goodbye to another year!

So i just noticed that my first 2012 post was well a kind of sad one, you know about the genius girl's death and all. So yeah about 2011 it had it's ups and down. Highlights and low lights of my life in 2011.

2011 Highs:

1. I got to go to summer school in my dream university!
2. Went out of Sindh for the first time (yay me!)
3. My hard work paid off i got into Science ( as my school is crazy and well they wont give you marks even though your exam went super great and they wont give science as well unless you get more then 75% in the all subjects)
4. The final Harry Potter premier! :D

2011 lows:

1. Dad had a heart attack.
2. Grandma died.
3. I got Dengue and Jaundice at the same time! (lucky me)
4. No more Harry Potter movies or books.. :(

Well that's well my 2011 and i hope that 2012 will be way better, don't we all?

I do not have any new year's resolutions this year, as i have got so many things to do like study for preliminary exams, study for board, plan the farewell for the graduating seniors, get an A? Ameen. (hahah)

Well i know what to do when 2012 ends get the 2012 movie dvd, watch it and laugh.  Maybe after my exams i will most probably start video editing! 

Total random and out of nowhere question: How do you know its actual love not your heart's way of telling you it's constipated.. Hahaha never mind don't answer that.. 

P.s i just realised that i had not said a good bye to 2011 as i was wondering where the hell are fire works because in Islamabad i spent my new year's eve looking for a open restaurant and fireworks. I missed Karachi, hehe.

2011 Best Highlight.

The pride of Pakistan: Arfa Karim

She was the youngest Microsoft certified professional and held that title from 2004-2008. She was the pride of our country and will always be remembered.  She suffered from cardiac arrest after an epileptic seizure in December and has been under hospitalization ever since, today she passed away. It is a big loss for the country but also for those parents who were extremely proud of their brilliant daughter. May her soul rest in peace and may she find a place in heaven, ameen.

Celebrating the colours of Pakistan: The 2nd annual Pakistan Blog awards!

Okay, so I had thought of writing a little review on these awards but apparently I cannot remember anything after and before the time the one and only Imran Khan came through the doors of the hall, gracing us with his presence.  I apparently was star struck and grinning like a fool but then again who was not? Any Blogger there would know what I went through.

Well back to the awards, big and hearty congratulations to all the winners.  And those who did not win well there is always a next time. Yes, Maryam Aftab my sister said to nominate yourself next year even, you never know *wink*

A Sindhi band from the interior played their tunes with their complicated instruments never letting the audience get bored with their magically melodies, little kids preformed representing various parts and colours of Pakistan looking absolutely adorable, a comedian in the end whose name was something with an ‘S’? And then of course *swoon* Imran Khan.

So any blogger who might have had been there? If so hope you enjoyed, won etc there.

Oh a note to that person who has been haunting my blog for a while, I will NEVER use proof read so yeah go hit your head on the wall.

Hey its been a while since i have blogged, but been so messed up lately. Yes i had like posted before Eid and  then after Eid i had a little bonfire at school, then exams were going on but i was only able to give two of them as i got sick, i never knew a mosquito bite can make a person so weak.. But i am on the road to recovery been drinking icky juices and having yucky pills everyday, and well yeah lately i have become a bhuddi ama (an old lady) climbing the stairs is like climbing a big stupid mountain...

So enough about me being sick! I hope you all had good time on Eid, if your papers were going on hope you ever able to give all of them unlike me..  And these past couple of weeks been really sad for me exams, sick and my birthday party had to be cancelled because i am sick! :( Yes my 16th birthday ruined.. Hehe btw it's my birthday on Monday!! I hope to get better by then... Going for my third Blood test tomorrow..
So okay byee see ya soon..

P.s: the papaya leave juice tastes horrible never ever even try it. Its like poison except it doesn't kill you.
