Mango Season

It's summer. Which can only mean one thing: Mangoes. As soon as June begins crates of mangoes start arriving from different relatives of mine. Half of the refrigerator is filled with them and the smell drives me mad.
Honestly i hate mangoes. They make me sick and just looking at them makes me want to gag. I am very anti-mangoes. Scratch that i am anti-fruits. I can not stand mangoes specially. If i accidentally touch a mango, you will most probably find me in the washroom scrubbing my hands. My lets say 'mango fear' has decreased a little as once upon a time i couldn't even stand in the same room where a mango would be.
Some of you will say that i hate mangoes because i have never tried them. Wrong. I once tasted it. I spent the whole hour gagging and cleaning my tongue.
And as if everyone wants to torture me they keep bringing freaking mangoes!
Questions: Does any of you like/love mangoes?

Hi! I know i have not posted in like weeks! My laptop's motherboard got fried and has gone to get fixed.. So yeah. Very unlucky year for me i should say!
Well hope everyone is doing great! :D

I Love You Mum!

It was one of those nights where she screamed her lungs out in her sleep in the middle of the night, thrashing in her bed trying to get out of the dream. Stuck in that horrible nightmare. She screams and screams no one seems to hear her. Suddenly two warm arms hold her firmly and whispers to her, pulling her out of the dream she thought she'd never be able to escape.
'Shh, everything will be Okay. Everything IS okay.' But her sobs continue, she knows subconsciously that she is there but is unable to really get back to reality. 'Come on now recite the Kalma and everything will be alright.'  Her warm embrace brings her out of the nightmare, her advice helps her sleep peacefully and her presence makes her stronger.
And that is my mother, she is always there for me even when i have my totally unexpected mood swings and despite my occasional teen tantrums.
Thank you mum for everything, for always being there. And that i love you to bits even when my attitude stinks.
I truly do not know where i will be if i did not have you! <3

Nothing tastes better than sweet FREEDOM!

Hello everyone, how you all doing?
My exams are OVER for good for now...!! I feel like a bird now, free to do anything i like and want! These last couple of weeks have been hectic! Seriously i have worked by butt off and i really hope my result is actually good this time. In my preliminaries i got a fudging B (Imagine the horror, stupid high achieving family), so yeah got a big lecture from my parents AND siblings about it.. I really hope i get an A+ not even a simple and sweet A. You ask why? Go to my parents.
Well enough about exams, they are OVER! It's just i have not opened Blogger for what a few weeks and zap its changed? I am not sure what to think about these changes...
So yeah it's MAY! Which means in simple Mahnoor Shah vocabulary that a REALLY long Friday before the two month weekend! I know some of you may find it lame but i kind of like say random silly stuff like that.
So any Summer plans?
i thought i had plans until the summer camp i had attended last year lowered the fudging age limit and now i can not go to that and they added a new course even that i so want to take...
Oh btw i might be changing my blog name soon... I thought i might change it when i am not a teen anymore but i feel like it... Should I?
And i have many stories to share i just hope i will be not lazy and actually post them!
Hope to post soon! :)

I don't know what to feel anymore..

A siren goes off somewhere and suddenly everyone is rushing out of the building, shouting and crying for their loved ones.. Someone grabs me from my arm and drags me along with them, stunned for awhile i didn't realise what was happening until we are out of the building, than i feel it... And it happens in seconds but what feels like years i see my world come tumbling down, i turn to face the crowd to search for my friend who knows me better then i know myself to find comfort in his strong arms but he is no where to be seen..

So yeah today 28 countries got a tsunami warning because of an earthquake in Indonesia of 8.9 magnitude, i feel  sort of depressed, first the Siachin avalanche where 100+ of our soldiers are stuck and now this. Hopefully the tsunami will die in the sea only.. Yes i am scared, i don't want to die just yet hell i haven't even appeared for my board yet, i don't want anyone to die like this..

I think we should pray for everyone to stay safe and not just only our country or our family but all those countries which are in danger of this disaster, then maybe Allah will listen to that one lucky person's prayers and we all will be safe..

Let the Hunger Games Begin!!

So today i FINALLY got to see The Hunger Games! I must say they chose the cast perfectly.. From Katniss to all the way till the freaky President Snow. I was never a big fan of Peeta in the books, but i think Josh Hutcherson did a really good job in playing Peeta and i sort of like him (Peeta) now, Jennifer Lawrence for Katniss? Perfect! Liam Hemsworth for Gale? Perfect, i always sort of loved both of them, hehehe.
Even though the movie lacked those memories of Katniss about Prim and Gale back home in district 12 and her thoughts weren't exactly given out to the audience.. But overall i loved the movie!
After reading and now watching the Hunger games i wish i could shoot like Katniss.. And yes i admit whenever i read any book from the trilogy, i get nightmares because i am in the games as well..
May the odds be ever in your favour!

Sukina The girl who mourned fictional characters

In the dark room she sat with no one to keep her company. Only her shadow and her loud heartbeat and sometimes a sob.. Sometimes someone would peep in from the door and call out her name.
'Sukina..?'
'Leave me alone!'
And the door would be closed again, this time she wouldn't even hear her loud heartbeat. Feeling lonelier than ever she sat, finally sleep seemed to come to her but her sister struggling to open the bedroom window mad her alert. Why didn't her sister just use the UNLOCKED door instead? She wondered.. Seeing that her sister had tossed a parcel inside the room tied to the string of an oddly shaped balloon, she wanted to ignore it but curiosity got the better of her she got up switched on the lights burning her eyes with the bright lights and took the parcel in her hand, the balloon was in the shape on owl. Opening the parcel she found a letter and a book. The letter was in her sister's hand writing and it went a little like this:

   Dear Miss Sukina Shah,
I have been informed by a very considerate relative of yours that you have not taken well to my demise, I suggest you get yourself some chocolate frogs and read my own personal copy of the tales of Beedle the Bard. And as for my demise all i can say is that life is something lent to us humans and eventually like all borrowed things has to be returned to the rightful owner.
And your sister would like me to tell you to and i quote "To get back to your senses."
                                                      Your's truly
                                                       Albus Dumbledore.

Smiling, Sukina put the note and the book in her shelf, and came out of the room at last and found everyone waiting for her. From that time onward everyone knew how to handle Sukina when her favourite characters in a novel died.

P.S I have decided to occasionally write about Sukina, a girl basically who mourns for her for her favourite character in a book like she is mourning for her loved one and all other really crazy things she does. I named her Sukina because i am in love with this name and Shah as her last name because i didn't feel like being creative and gave her my last name.
P.P.S i know the tales of the beedle the bard was published like years after harry potter and the half blood prince but still i sort of went for this only! Hope you like this little piece..
